Team B.A.B.E. Athletics Coaches
Coach Rae is an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor and Certified Spinning Instructor. She teaches fitness classes on base and is currently working to obtain her IRONMAN U certification to be a certified IRONMAN triathlon coach.
With a love for the multi-sport modality of triathlon, Coach Rae enjoys being able to share the sport with other women. “I understand how challenging it can be learning something new, but also how rewarding it is when you conquer that badass challenge. There is nothing better than being able to share that feeling with other female athletes.”
Rae has always been active and involved in sports. She grew up riding her bike everywhere, playing volleyball and running high school track. As an adult she played Roller Derby and upon “retirement” was looking for a new sport. That was when she found Duathlons and made the 2018 Team USA Long Course Duathlon team.
Coach Rae now uses triathlon as a way to manage her weight and mental health; from PCOS, anxiety and depression. It also helps fulfill the competitive spirit of her badass personality. 😉
Rae is a mom to two amazing boys and one giant doodle dog. She is also a military wife. Their family is currently stationed overseas on the beautiful island of Sicily. They love to travel and have been enjoying exploring Europe.Coach Rae Walaska
